Ava Larson here. I was jogging along the Dubuque Riverfront Trail by Riverfront Park around 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, and my tan leather sandals with bright pink straps slipped off at the railing near the Julien Dubuque Bridge. They’re worn but comfortable, with one strap a tad loose and a small scuff on the left toe. I’m tired from a long week of chores and errands, and I miss the simple relief they give after a day outdoors. It’s enough to make me hope someone picked them up and kept them nearby.
