Orange paperback mystery novel with grandmother's note
Description
I’m missing a printed-media book: an orange paperback mystery novel. It’s a 320-page copy with a bright orange cover and bold black title “The Last Crossing.” I last saw it yesterday around 3pm outside the Detroit Public Library Main Branch on Woodward Ave, near the Cass Ave entrance. The back cover has a faint coffee stain and the bottom corner is a bit bent from jamming it in my bag. Inside the front cover there’s a handwritten note in my grandmother’s script: “For your adventures, love Nana.” It was a gift and holds sentimental value, so I’d really like to get it back. If you’ve found it, please reply—I can describe the bookmark (blue with a tiny silver compass) and the note to verify.

How to safely get your item back

- Request a clear photo of the item from an angle you did not post.
- Do not pay any release, shipping, or storage fee.

Meet in a safe, public place
- Police stations, café entrances, transport hubs, and shop foyers all work.

- Avoid private homes, car parks at night, or isolated locations.
Bring someone with you
- Tell a friend or family member where you are meeting and when.
