I was at a street fair along Market Street in Wilmington, Delaware, around 7:15 p.m. last Friday when I realized my handheld device and my console were gone from my bag. The area by the fountain near the old courthouse was crowded, and I retraced my steps, checking the benches and the vendor stalls with a growing knot in my stomach.
