Brown and white dog with red collar found
Found a dog this morning around 9:15am wandering near Albany Riverfront Park, along Broadalbin Street by the Calapooia River. It’s a medium-sized brown-and-white hound mix, about 40-50 pounds, with a bright red nylon collar and a blue bone-shaped tag. There’s a small white crescent on its left hind leg and a faint white patch on its chest. The leash is still attached to the collar, with a blue beaded leash hanging from it. The dog seemed friendly and curious, wagging its tail and sniffing everyone I spoke to, a bit muddy from the river trail. I brought him to a safe spot and offered some water. I lost my blue hardcover poetry collection yesterday around 3pm near the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library on 4th Street. It's a compact 6-by-9 inch book with a slightly worn navy cover and a red ribbon bookmark that sticks out when I leaf through it. Inside there's a small handwritten note on the title page from a close friend, and a few dog-eared pages I marked for a class presentation. It means a lot to me; it was my late grandmother's favorite, and I really need it back to finish a project.
