I realized my shoes were missing after leaving Clarksville, Tennessee around 7:20 pm last Thursday. I’d been wandering the area around the Austin Peay State University campus and along the riverfront near the College Street entrance when I noticed one sneaker was gone. The pair is a gray gym shoe with bright blue laces on the left and a plain black sneaker on the right. I’d knocked them off during a quick stretch by the Cumberland River, and now I feel unsteady walking the sidewalks of Clarksville without them. If someone picked them up, I’d be relieved to know they’re safe.
