Lost Trading Cards on Cape Cod

On Saturday at 6:20 p.m., I was strolling along the Provincetown Town Pier after a sunset walk when I realized my binder of trading cards was missing. It is a small blue binder with a white cover and a red sticker on the spine. We paused near the fishing shack to compare a few cards, and I must have left it on the bench as the tide rolled in. I am attached to these cards because they remind me of summers here with my family and a weekend trip my dad planned.

Lost appliances on Main Street, Hyannis.

I’m so bummed—around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday I left Hyannis Main Street with a shopping bag full of groceries and a box of small appliances, and by the time I got to the Hyannis ferry terminal, the box was gone. Inside were a white blender, a chrome toaster, and a compact coffee maker. The harbor breeze carried the scent of sea salt and diesel buses, and I kept picturing someone wandering with those items in a rush. I’ve walked the length of Main Street from the Cape Cod Mall to the ferry terminal twice, hoping to find a kind soul who turned them in.

Lost Memory Cards on Cape Cod ferry trip

I was packing camera gear at the Hyannis side of the Steamship Authority terminal around 4:15 PM last Friday when a small pouch with two memory cards slipped from my jacket pocket. I boarded the ferry and only realized later they were gone. The cards hold travel photos from Cape Cod / Islands, Massachusetts, United States and a few personal clips, including a sunset at Skaket Beach. I’m heartbroken to lose them; those memories can’t be replaced. If they’ve been found near the terminal or along Hyannis Harbor, I’d be grateful to have them back.

Lost: sheet music in Cape Cod / Islands

I'm Grace Lin. Last Friday at 11:30 a.m., after a quick practice at the Hyannis Public Library on Main Street, I left a stack of sheet music on a chair in the reading room and walked away. It includes a small set for a summer recital on the Cape Cod Islands, with a mix of originals and classics, all worn from years of use. LOST: Holiday Decorations on the Cape

LOST: On Saturday around 6:30 pm, I left a box of holiday decorations on the front porch of my friend's cottage on Shore Road in Chatham, Cape Cod. The box contained garlands, a string of multicolored lights, and a hand-painted wooden star that belonged to my grandmother. They meant a lot to us and are part of our family tradition. I wandered to the Chatham Lighthouse to watch the sunset and when I returned, the box was gone. The ornaments keep our home warm during the holidays, and I hope someone who found them kept them safe until a return is possible.

LOST: Postcards from my Cape Cod trip

LOST: I was wandering along Commercial Street in Provincetown at around 5:15 pm last Friday when I realized my tote with a small bundle of postcards had vanished. The cards feature Cape Cod lighthouse photos and a note I wrote to my grandmother on the back, and they were the most meaningful souvenir from this trip. I’d left them on a wooden bench near the Pilgrim Monument while I ducked into a tiny shop to grab a pastry, and by the time I came back they were gone. They carry a memory of home and of laughter with friends, and I’m hoping someone picked them up and kept them safe by the harbor.
