Description
Outside Belfast City Hall on Donegall Square North, around 8:40 PM I realized my two brass lamps with green glass shades were missing from the bench where I stopped to check our meeting point. They’re small, with a delicate leaf motif and a warm glow that reminds me of my grandmother’s kitchen. I’d bought them for her birthday years ago, and they’ve traveled with me through many moves. It’s strange not having them; I keep scanning the street lamps and waiting for a glimpse of them on a passerby’s doorstep. I’m hopeful a kind stranger held onto them until they’re found.
