Lost: My hamsters near downtown Anchorage

I was cleaning the living room at 7:15 PM last Tuesday, in my apartment near the Dimond Center in Anchorage, when the hamster cage door popped open and my two little furballs bolted. They’re tiny, one brown and white, the other gray with a white belly. I sprinted through the apartment, checked under the sofa, behind the TV stand, even out on the porch, but they vanished. They’re incredibly quick and fearless, and I’m overwhelmed with worry. These two are my apartment family, and I miss their squeaks and their little wheel spins. If you spot two tiny runners near the Dimond area, please help me bring them home.

Lost photographs in Anchorage area

Yesterday afternoon, around 4:15 p.m., I realized my photographs were gone while I walked along the Delaney Park Strip in downtown Anchorage. They were in a small black photo album with a blue cover; one page caught the glare of the streetlamp as I turned the corner near the Alaska Railroad Depot. I retraced my steps to the museum and the Coastal Trail, asking a cashier and a couple of joggers if anyone had turned them in, but no luck. Those photos mean a lot to me—portraits from family trips and mountain hikes that bring me back to snowy winters and long summer days. I hope someone found them and will return them here.

Lost: Brooches in Alaska

I was at the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center around 2:15 p.m. last Friday when I realized my two silver brooches with a turquoise stone were missing from the inside pocket of my coat. They were small but meaningful: one shaped like a pinecone, the other a leaf pattern. I retraced my steps along 5th Avenue and checked the museum lobby, the gift shop, and the bus stop outside, but nothing turned up yet. I keep hoping someone picked them up and left them somewhere safe because their value is sentimental more than anything. If you saw them near the museum or along the Alaska Railroad Depot area in downtown Anchorage, please let me know.

Red Pyrex 3-qt mixing bowl with blue lid

I lost my red Pyrex 3-quart mixing bowl with a blue lid yesterday around 3:15 pm outside the Fred Meyer on Spenard Road in Anchorage. It’s a Pyrex bowl with a bright red exterior and a white interior, and the blue lid has a small scratch along the edge. There’s a tiny chip on the rim near the lid and a faint coffee ring on the bottom from where I set it down. It was a gift from my grandmother and means a lot to me, so I’d really appreciate getting it back. The bowl is engraved with my initials AS on the bottom.

Black microKORG synth, orange front panel, small dent

I lost my black microKORG synthesizer with an orange front panel yesterday around 3pm. It's a compact digital instrument in a soft black carrying case—an Electronic Instruments pick for my setup. The orange panel and white keys are distinctive, and there's a tiny dent on the right corner. I had it in the parking lot behind the Loussac Library on Denali Street in downtown Anchorage when I stepped away to grab a coffee. It has sentimental value—it's my go-to for song ideas and really helps me plan new stuff. If you found it, email me at [email protected].

Black SanDisk 64GB USB-C flash drive

I lost my black SanDisk Ultra 64GB USB-C flash drive yesterday around 3pm near the Anchorage Museum at 625 W 7th Ave. It's in a blue silicone sleeve and has a tiny red fox sticker on the back, plus a small dent on the metal cap. It holds a handful of personal photos and a couple of work files, so it has sentimental value and I really need it back. If anyone found it, I'd be grateful to get it back—you can reach me at [email protected].
